Brian J. Moore
Brian J. Moore takes great pride in helping people who are experiencing one of the more traumatic events a person can experience: being charged with a criminal offense. He knows that good people make mistakes. And in some cases, people are not guilty. In every case he handles, he will do his best to try to get the charges dismissed. In the event he is not able to get a dismissal, then he will work hard to make sure that his client gets the best possible plea offer the district attorney is willing to make. If his client and he decide that the plea offer is not to their liking or that they think he can convince a judge or jury that his client is not guilty, then he will take the case to trial. Brian has tried many cases in front of a jury throughout his career. When you are deciding whom to hire as a lawyer, it is important to know that your lawyer is ready, willing, and able to take your case all the way to trial. Brian always is.
Brian grew up in Syracuse, New York. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in 1992 from St. Bonaventure University, he went on to law school where he graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1996. The following year Brian moved to Wilmington. He became licensed to practice law here in North Carolina in 1998, and shortly following, opened Brian J. Moore & Associates in 2000. Since that time he has represented thousands of people with offenses ranging from simple traffic tickets to very serious felonies. In 2002 he hired an attorney to meet the growing demand he was receiving from his own clients for family law matters. Brian is now licensed to practice at the United States Supreme Court after being sworn in there in 2013. In that same year, the North Carolina State Bar also officially recognized him as a Board Certified Specialist in Criminal Law. He is always looking to improve and expand his ability to most effectively represent his clients. Brian lives in the downtown area of Wilmington near where his office is located. He greatly enjoys the quaint city lifestyle that Wilmington allows him to experience. |
